Callbacks

Hi Spud Fans

Just an update...

Callbacks have been very exciting and we are making good progress with finding the teen roles. We will finish off the year this weekend with the Cape Town callbacks, the Spud Team will then go on holiday until mid January. Next year we will wrap up the casting process with the Grahamstown callbacks and hopefully by the end of January we will have the cast set.

    Possibly yes... especially for people in the KZN area. More info on Extras will be posted in the New Year.

    MY name is Nathan van Wyk, i am 13. My dream is to star in 1 of your movies. I know I have missed the auditions but is there any chance I can still play a minor part? And will you make a second movie?

    Hey Hey!!

    Just woke up and something came to my mind...

    Schools are starting and our hair is gonna need to be cut again :( . Our school starts on the 13th and my probly gonna be cut on the 12th. If there any reason for my hair may being long, can you send me a authorised, (e-mail/fax to our school or even me) , brief letter, that'll be awesome...I made the callbacks which means there's a chance I'll make it. I auditioned for Vern. He pulls out alot of hair. Maby he's going to need some hair to work with...

    Sorry about the bother.

    Just wondering, I see there's no call-backs for Spud himself. Did you guys already cast Spud, or are you going to choose him out of the other call-backs?

    Hi, I auditioned in Grahamstown as i am currently studying at Rhodes, i live in Durban though, so i need to know a possible date for the Grahamstown Callbacks (and if i've been selected) as flight bookings become very difficult to obtain during this time.

    Hi Spud Team

    My name is Nicola Mitchell and I am a 'Joburger'. The Spud auditions completely passed me by. I had been wanting to audition for the whole year, but we were never told when or where auditions were happening. We asked our drama teacher but she didn't know either. The long and the short of it is that I have not auditioned, and have not sent any audition footage etc.

    Despite this, I would absolutely love to be a part of this movie. I am not sure how far you are into the casting process and whether there might still be a slight chance that I could audition. I see (from the blog) that there are only callbacks left for Grahamstown. I know that I probably have a very small chance of getting a role even if I could audition, however, I cannot let an opportunity like this pass me by. Is there any chance I could send you an audition video (on Youtube) and if you think I have a chance I would make the effort to fly to Grahamstown. I am so sorry to be causing such a hassle and I completely understand if this is not possible.

    Please consider this option, I am desperate to be involved in this project and I am passionate about drama.

    I heard you were holding auditions for Mermaid, but if you haven't already found an Amanda or even just an extra could I possibly audition? I did last year but I was wondering if I could give it another try, if it's not too much bother? thanks Shianne Brunton
